Giclée: (zhee-klay) A giclée print is an extremely long-lasting, high quality reproduction of original artwork. The image is generated from a high resolution digital scan and printed with archival quality, pigment based inks onto buffered, acid free canvas. The giclée printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction. The quality of the print rivals traditional silver halide and gelatin printing processes and is now commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries. Although giclée prints are much more resistant to light than are lithographic prints or computer prints made with the more common dye-based inks, it is always best to display your print in an area that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
